Hi! My name is Christina (chrissy) , I am 21 years old and in my third year of schooling at Nipissing University studying Criminal Justice. I have a roughly a 70% average and I am a very hard worker. I have always enjoyed children of all ages, when I was in high school I babysat for a family friend everyday after school for 2 years, I would meet him at his bus stop and walk with him home from school. We would do his homework together and then usually play games outside or sometimes just take it easy and make some snacks and watch a movie. I have also enjoyed over the years babysitting for family or friends who have had babies, Most recently my cousin had a baby and had to go back to work a little sooner than expected, I watched her new born a number of times and truly enjoyed it. I got my Canadian Red Cross Babysitting Course certificate when I was 14 years old and have been actively babysitting and watching children since. I am young at heart and love doing fun activities with kids, children really seem to take well to me, I have a high level of patients and always make sure to be aware of my surroundings and possible dangers when doing activities with children. I am the oldest member of a very large extended family, so outside of paid babysitting jobs I have been a caregiver for cousins and other close family friends since before I can remember. I thing the most important part of childcare is enjoying what you do and having a love for children, there is no question that I meet this qualifications.
Partial / after-school care | $13.00 per hour |
I have looked into Daycares in the North bay area.. most of which charge roughly 175-190 for weekly childcare, which for a even a full 9 hour day would be upwards of 20$ an hour. My request is just a bit over minimum wage, but still well under what it would cost for a weekly daycare service.
