El, nanny - M8V Etobicoke (new toronto / mimico south / humber bay shores)

My name is Eryn, and I am looking for a family that could benefit from my approach to child care, which is rooted in FUN, and strengthened by extensive training in child development and care.
I am not like most other sitters or nannies, but I can promise you your children will benefit from my unique attitude and teaching style. I have blue hair, but I believe in manners! I like baking brownies, but I'll put at least one veggie in the batter! What we do today might be weird, but we are all going to learn something new!
My favourite things to do with kids I work with are playing outside, all things crayon and playdoh, appropriate cooking together (even if it's just decorative sandwiches!), and singing as loud as we can!

I am a solo mum to one amazing 9-year-old, and just completed my bachelor's degree in Child and Youth Care while working from home. (So I know about busy, and I know about mess!). Before I began this program, I transferred out of an Early Childhood Education diploma program at Loyalist College. (I adored my training in ECE but wanted to expand my scope of practice to older children and teenagers as well).
I have plenty of experience with children of all ages, for many years, in many different environments. I have experience with kids who have an array of unique traits and needs. I also possess all current standards like CPR/First Aid and a police check.
More importantly, I have lots of open space in my life for your family, and the new ways we can find to connect and learn and grow :)
