Hello there and thank you for taking the time to read a letter about me!
Let me start off by letting you know my name is Pam and I was born and raised in Toronto with my two younger brothers. I currently live with my fiancé and future in laws as I will be getting married in 6 months. I am a licensed ECE I studied for two years at Seneca college and have been working in the field since 2010. I have many experiences working with children from infants till school age. As well I graduated from the social service worker program also at Seneca in 2013. Currently I am taking a few classes online studying children’s mental health. I am also CPR certified. My dream job would be in a school assisting children in the counselling department. Unfortunately I can only speak one language which is English however I have learned French in school and can still recall enough to communicate verbally. I love travelling and seeing the world. If I could I would definitely back pack around Europe and Asia or even live abroad and experience other ways of life. So far I have been to Cuba three times, twice to Varedero and once to Cayo Largo which was incredible being on such a tiny Island surrounded by beautiful beaches. I have also visited Israel, Dominican and Las Vegas. I frequently go to Montreal as my mother was born there and the majority of my family reside there. However now marrying into a new family I get to learn about their cultural heritage as being originally from South Africa and either coming to live in Canada or in the United States.
Some things I would say I excel at would be organization and planning. I had planned my entire upcoming wedding all on my own and much in advance as I am also a pre planner. When I was in school and received an assignment it was always done immediately just because I did not want to think about it when I was out and about. I love scrapbooking and I consider that to be my main hobby as it enhances my creativity and captures my childhood memories.
Over the years I babysit when I was not working at the daycare so during off hours for children in the centers. I enjoy nannying because I can offer one-on-one support for a child and engaging them in fun activities as I had to weekly program for the classroom covering all the development domains. I recently left my last job due to high staff turnover and inconstancies in routine and hours. As well to explore one and exciting opportunities working with children in different environments/ settings. I am not a very picky person however organization an cleanliness are important when visiting a person’s home it shows structure, respect and responsibility. I don’t mind light house chores especially cleaning up after the children however when it comes to having to cook for the family I may find that a challenge depending on the families staple food, likes and dislikes. I believe I am of value with all my experiences, education and training. A quality I would bring is a lot of patience through teaching and guiding your children. As well positive encouragement and support as they achieve developmental milestones and goals. I hope I did not bore you through reading my summed up autobiography! I look forward to meeting you and not only share more about my life story but learn about your entire wonderful family!!
