Hanako, nanny in Waterloo south N2L

Hi! My name is Hanako and I believe that I would be a perfect fit for your family. Let me tell you a little more about myself: I grew up with three younger siblings, so I know what it's like to be part of a large family, and I love it! I have also done lots of babysitting since my preteen days, including a full time summer job caring for children in their home. This was one of my favourite jobs. I got to prepare meals for the family, often including the children in meal preparation. I quickly learned the importance of making plans for each day to keep the children busy. I made sure that they spent time outside (doing sidewalk chalk was one of my favourite things to do), we spent lots of time in the pool and I always brought a new craft for them to do each day. There was also a park down the street, so we walked there daily and spent time playing with friends. I taught the youngest daughter to make bracelets out of embroidery floss and I also worked with both children on exercises they'd been given by their teachers for the summer.

I have also been a camp counsellor for several summers, working with children with special needs, and I am currently volunteering in a Junior Kindergarten class also for special needs children once a week. I love being able to build into the lives of children, and to be quite honest with you, they love me too! I'm a kid magnet :)

I love to laugh and have fun. That's what life's about, right?

Most importantly, I love children and I am happiest when I see them happy as well.
