I am a 46 year old non smoking mother who has now got an empty nest. I have my own car. (My car is non smoking as well. )
I went to school for business admin but I find that after being a stay home mother for so long that it is what I know best. I prefer to get on the floor to color, do puzzles, play with play dough, swing on the swings or play at the park that to enter journal entries into a ledger.
I would ideally like to have one or two kids in the parents home so that the child(ren) are comfortable and not too far out of their comfort zone. It can be difficult enough for them to meet a new person without being left at a strange place.
I am in the process of reacquiring my CPR certification, I let it lapse after I didn't have any little people at home anymore.
I am a calm individual and like I said I like to play, I can answer "why" and "how come" questions all day. I was recently sent a link to a blog of activities for little people by a friend who thought I might like to do some of them with my grandson so I have recipes and ideas for sensory playtime to help children learn, grow and to ask questions. I am not against educational tv but there is also a need for kids to get outside, to get dirty and to wonder why birds fly, why do worms not have legs and why is the sky blue?
Home nanny | $9.00 per hour |
$9.00 an hour is for one child light housework and this is a rate that a single mother on Ontario works could claim and be reimbursed for.
I would charge a little more for more than 1 child or if I were expected to do the majority of the house work, but I am totally open to negotiation.
