My name is Caitlin , I am an 18 year old student. I am currently on what some would call a gap year, but what I would personally describe as time to catch up! In high school I neglected to complete the optional science and math courses. I have dedicated this year to recovering those courses, as I plan on studying to become a nurse this coming September. More specifically a paediatrician, so my love for children is endless! I would have to honour my parents for this personal love to care for children, as I have been personally blessed to be accompanied in this journey of life, by 13 wonderful people that I also call my siblings. As a family of this size is not often heard of, it seems a little far fetched, but it isn't, and I am very thankful for that. My siblings range from the ages of 2 years old to 24. My eldest brother also recently had his first child 3 weeks ago. I am lucky enough to be able to say that I have this great amount of experience that not many can find in schools, or basic babysitting gigs. I am quite used to all ages of children, thanks to my family. As well as family experience, I have been a mothers helper and babysitter for multiple families in the beaches area, starting at the age of 14. Lastly, I should include that I am not originally from Canada, as I was born and raised in Trinidad, until my family decided to move almost 10 years ago.
