Hi, my name is Katie, or whatever your child can pronounce. I am a graduate student of Sheridan College 5 years ago. Which program? Early Childhood Education (ECE) of course. Why? I have, always had a passion for educating and working with children. This all started when my mother had a home daycare, I was a mother's helper and as soon as I could, got my license to babysit. This I did, for about 10 years, and I soon, right out of highschool pursued this career path in college. Immediately following my graduation and 3 placements in/of college, I was hired in a Christian Childcare Center for about 6 months. In that time, I had experiences with infants up until preschool age. Why only 6 months, you ask? Well the health standards, turn around rate ( working with 1 new co-worker every month) and structure of the center had me questioning why they were even operating in the first place. I soon joined a center that had just opened and had the privilege to work along side the board of directors, the supervisor, co workers and children to build, enhance and develop the center to what it is now, 3 years later. Very successful, very happy and content parents and children. As educators, our current education was important. We went to many seminars, kept an up to date record of WSIB, food handler's courses, CPR, First Aid, and many more other qualifications as well. My family ended up relocating and I have yet to turn a new leaf in this lovely new area. Want trusted, quality care?.. look no further! But please don't hesitate to ask if you'd like to know more. I'm an open book, looking to start a new chapter. Thanks for reading,
-Katie

Top quality care comes with a cost. I wouldn't leave my children with a 12 year old who just got their babysitter's course online, ..sure pay them $8 an hour, but is the safety and care of your children worth that much?
