I have proudly been involved in childcare for over 7 years now and have enjoyed every second of it. This includes working at a local daycare for my entire twelfth grade of high school and first year of college. As well as having experience with babysitting from the age of 13. I have been surrounded by children of all ages my whole life. I have three younger brothers and a mom who has owned her own home daycare for 15 years which I have continuously have helped with.

During my years as a child caregiver, I have acquired many hands-on skills and I am confident in my qualifications in regards to working with children. My skills and qualities include; responsibility, organization, time management, multi-tasking, problem solving, communication, creativity, patience, loving, cooking/cleaning and providing a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibility and Organization: I have learned that children are at their happiest when staying on top of daily routines and keeping the day organized with activities.

Multi-tasking: I have learned how to better at multitasking through childcare. Such as, preparing food, while keeping the children engaged in activities.

Problem Solving & Communication: I understand how to listen to children and their needs. As well as how to calm children who are acting out, teaching them right from wrong.

Creativity: As someone who loves crafting, I have made and planned plenty of activities and crafts for children.

Patience & Loving: As a child caregiver, being patient is an essential quality. I always approach any situation with calmness and patience towards the child, while providing a loving environment.

Cooking and Cleaning: I am capable of both cooking/prepping and cleaning. I make sure all my work environments are clean and organized in order to have a successful day.

Location: I am moving from Ottawa to Halifax in the middle of May for the summer. I will be located in the South end of Halifax and available to work between May 31st- end of August.
