I am a 30 year old woman who has been involved with various childcare and youth care work, both paid and volunteered. I've had training from occupational and speech therapists to increase my ability to work with certain children and also taken courses offered for children with special needs and made great progress with children who had many difficult cares and difficulties to face. I love children, have none of my own but soon hope to someday (hoping by age 35). I've played various athletic sports growing up and into my adult years, children make me happy and if I can help even one child overcome or make progress in an area of difficulty then it is worth it. I had a tough childhood and grew up fast and didnt have alot and I believe this makes me a stronger person today and gives me many great qualities in my life today. I believe children are a product of their environment and there's no such thing as a "bad child" but rather a parenting problem or a child living with a disability or disorder the general public lacks knowledge of and that a child's upbringing shapes who they become and the choices they make as an adult.
