I am eighteen years of age, and from a city in Iowa, USA, called Des Moines. I have recently relocated to Ladysmith, BC. I hope to soon go to school here for Geo-science. My biggest hobby is either reading or writing. I graduated from a high school in West Des Moines, Iowa, called Walnut Creek High School just the year prior. My first job was in downtown Des Moines. It was called Lil Scholars, and it was a preschool/child care facility. I worked there for about two years. The first year I worked part time (20-30 hours a week) and by the second year, I got a raise and started working 50 hours a week. It was a stressful job but probably the best one I will ever have. I eventually became very overworked and had to quit. Soon after, I got a job at a catering company called Tangerine, located in West Des Moines where I was living. I worked full time as an assistant caterer. It was a small business ran by two lovely women so I had an opportunity to do a little bit of everything from cleaning to cooking to serving. I quit Tangerine just this month when I relocated to Ladysmith, BC.
It's not possible to tell you who I am in just this text box, but I promise you I'm a lovely person. I love children, so much so that I hope to have five of my own one day. My dream would be to have my own in home daycare someday. I am adventurous; I'm sure you assumed that considering I moved just myself 1500 miles away from home at the age of 18. I'm an open book, I have no reason to hide anything. Except my bank account information (hehe). I love to read, especially out loud. I hope to publish a childrens book someday as well as a memoir. My favorite age in children is the threes and fours but I honestly love all children. Working at the daycare was amazing, and having to quit was very difficult because I become emotionally attached. I love to clean--I'm probably the most clean person ever. And I love to cook as well. Key work: love. I'm definitely not chef status, but I do enjoy throwing together meals, especially healthy ones. I'm family oriented. I understand the importance of family and I'm definitely a family over country kind of person. I practice Buddhism philosophically. I find so much peace in my life when I meditate. I think this philosophy has not only made me a happier person, but a more moral one as well.
I hope this helps you, rather you are interested or not, I hope this brings you one step closer in finding what you need. I'm a very welcoming person, feel free to contact me at anytime, I will try to get back with you as soon as possible. I answer any questions, and I understand that hiring someone to look after children is a big deal. Safety is a big factor and whatever I can do to make you more comfortable, I hope I can do so. Thanks for reading :)
