Delaney, home childcare - L8S Hamilton (westdale / cootes paradise / ainslie wood)

My name is Delaney , I am 20 years old (21 in March) I was a Mac student and am taking time off and looking for a way to keep busy and save up money for school. I love kids and have 6 nieces and nephews of my own whom I get the pleasure of taking care of often. Also in summer of 2012 I travelled to Italy for 2 months to be a live in au pair and English tutor for their 4 year old boy, 14 year old boy and 16 year old girl. My duties mainly consisted of caring for the small boy because the older ones could mostly care for themselves and needed assistance with English only. It was an amazing experience. Now I live in Westdale in a student house, I used to work as a server but am looking for something working with kids as I want to be a youth counsellor when I graduate. I took the babysitting course when I was 13 and worked those types of jobs with family friends I worked at a Tim Hortons in Dundas (where I grew up). My dad is a retired police officer and my mom is a nurse at St. Joseph's. They're definitely rubbed off their need to help others onto me. I also love doing crafts, baking and such with my nieces and nephews. Most of my child caring experience comes from being an Aunt and my trip to Italy but I have babysat for two family's whenever I was available and they needed me on and off for 2/3 years.
