I'm a 21 year old university graduate, recently moved to Toronto and I love working with children, especially one-on-one. My degree is a bachelors of science majoring in psychology including childhood development and disorders. My experience includes volunteering at a Sunday school (which involved a wide age range), reading with elementary school children, working with Mad Science at science summer camps for children, and taking care of my younger family members. I have also had training in first aid; however, am currently working to renew my qualification.
I am adaptable to however you would like your child to be raised and what you would like them to learn. Besides English, I was also raised in Japanese. Though I would not claim to be fluent in Japanese, as I grew up in Canada with English speaking schools I would be able to teach your child some basics of the language.
Musically, I know how to play piano, guitar (standard 6 string and bass), recorder, trombone, and I also sing. Though I do not have all of these instruments currently in my possession, I would be willing to help your child with any of these. I am also capable of assisting children with any of their course work as I have been an honors student consistently since middle school.
My hobbies include music, visual art, reading, jogging, and video games and I would enjoy sharing my joy for them with any child. To me, the most important thing is that your child gets the individual attention they need to grow, learn, and enjoy life.
