Donna, home childcare in Wasaga beach

My family consist of myself, my two amazing sons, and my little dog Angel. Both of my sons work full time and live on their own. I am very close to my two sons as family means a lot to me and family relationships are important. I am bilingual in French and English. In my 20 years of babysitting 3 of the children that were in my care are now in school and are working towards becoming a French Teacher. Babysitting has always been a passion of mine. I started babysitting when I was 12 years old. I still keep in contact with many of the children that I have babysat and I have created relationships with these families. In fact, the very first family that I worked with I am still in contact with the two girls which they are now in their 40's and I still speak to their mother on a daily basis. When I work with children, I treat them as if they are my own children. There have been several incidents where some children in my care have needed to be in the hospital and I have stayed in the hospital with these children during the day and during the night as needed. When taking a job, I don't think of the job as a 8am-5pm type of day. I consider myself part of the family and I try to help the family as best as I could. This can involve me going to parent teacher interviews to see how the children are doing and to see what I can do as a babysitter to help the children succeed. I can also drive the children to and from activities that they are engaged in. I believe that babysitting is about creating a lasting and positive relationship with not only the children but the parents too.
