I am a mature nanny who has worked for 4 families over 3 decades in a full time capacity in their homes. I have also worked in day care centres and pre schools, had my own dayhome and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I currently have a full time job in London as a nanny and love my job. The family I work for will be away over the summer so I am making myself available to help another family (or families) in July and August 2022. I am available for full time or part time care. I have a reliable vehicle so any part of the city is okay. I am experienced in planning and preparing meals, doing children’s laundry and light house keeping/organization. I have current first aid. I value the importance of play and am skilled at providing safe nurturing care through routine, predictability, redirecting challenging behaviours and teaching respect by respecting children. I am familiar with various teaching/care methods including Montessori, Waldorf and Reggio Emilia philosophy. I love getting outside with children and encouraging the development of healthy bodies, healthy brains and self awareness through exploration and play.
