Amanda, home childcare in Huntsville

I am a very dedicated, hardworking and passionate individual. I have been around children all my life and began babysitting when I was a teenager. I started teaching piano 8 years ago and have also been working with children with autism for about three years now. Throughtout my piano career, I have taught children from ages 3-14. I have had nannying positions as well that required pick ups and drop offs, cooking, tidying and homework help. I am a trained ABA/IBI therapist and have worked with children with autism in home, centre, daycare, city camps and community based settings. I incorporate academics, social skills, community outings, self help/independent life skills, developing speech and appropriate communication, play skills, gross and fine motor development, sensory exercises, homework and music into every session with all my clients. I work directly under clinical supervisors, psychologists, senior therapists and psychometrists. I have been a facilitator for a sports program for autism ontario peel division for two seasons. I ran two different age groups each season, children from 2-10 and a preteen/teens group. I absolutely love all my jobs, working with kids is my passion. I love music, reading, baking, movies and crafts. I strive to help my kids grow and develop into independent, compassionate individuals. I believe communication and understanding is extremely important in childhood development and I will always be an exemplary role model for your child(ren).
