Marie, childcare provider in York (runnymede / the junction north) M6N

Hello everyone,

My name is Marie, I am 25 and I come from France (where I studied business administration and law during 5 years)! I arrived in Canada 1 month ago to travel and I live currently in Toronto: I will stay here until the beginning of July. I am looking for children to take care of until then before going back to France to become a teacher.

I have a strong experience with child care. First of all, I have 2 little brothers I took care of when I was a teenager (as my parents always worked a lot): homework, play time and meal preparation.

Meanwhile, I was the happy nanny of 3 families with 2 to 3 children of 2 to 11 years old. I always aimed to make them feel the best as possible. I really enjoy to play with children: not only board games as I above all like to gather the preferences and wishes of everybody to create new games, invent a show (theater, music and so one) or organize a creative activity (painting, drawing, inventing new objects). I am fond of telling stories too, whether I invent them or just read a book. Embodying a character, taking a special voice and immerse children in wonderful universes is really important for me (plus I love it!).

Next to my studies, I have been working in summer camp for 8 years (35 weeks in total), at first as a counselor and as a director for 2 years. My principal skills: organizing (and "giving life" to) a game, a short one or during a whole day (and taking the willing of the children into account), taking care of children from 3 to 14 (physical, psychological and affective approaches), planning the everyday life, games, calm moments, sport activities and so one according to the children needs, and before all being attentive to each child, his needs and progresses.
