My name is Lindsay and I an currently a full-time student at Wilfrid Laurier University. I am enrolled in the honours English program and am projected to graduate in the Fall of 2015. I hope to eventually teach either at an Elementary or High School level some day but, in the meantime, I am looking for full or part-time work.
I would be more than happy with any sort of work ranging from the occasional babysitting position to a full-time nanny position, though securing a full-time position may be more plausible post-graduation.
I have nannied previously for a summer (4 months). I did not live with the family but I worked 6am-6pm Monday-Friday each week. On top of the nanny responsibilities during this job experience, I was also expected to cook breakfast and lunch for the child (and the occasional dinner for the entire family of 4) as well as clean the household. Besides this nanny experience, I have only done babysitting jobs on occasion for friends, family, and family friends! I am keen to do more nanny jobs, however, because I have such an affinity for caring for children, taking care of a household and preparing healthy - yet delicious - meals.
I am an extremely creative individual and have many fun crafts up my sleeve. I am also athletic, love going for walks, and take pride in living a healthy and balanced lifestyle. I love to cook, bake and - believe it or not! - clean. I would be more than willing to assist with homework, as well.
Occasional babysitting | $8.00 per hour |
Partial / after-school care | $10.00 per hour |
Home nanny | $12.00 per hour |
For part-time care, I believe it is not unreasonable to ask for at least $10/hour due to the fact that it is more demanding than the occasional babysitting job - more is expected from you which means more responsibilities. I would ask for $12/hour for full-time care because, at that point, it is a full time position where most of my personal income would stem from. Of course, all rates are negotiable, however.
