Delaney, childcare - T1S Okotoks

Hello! My name is Delaney, I am 17 years old, I have my drivers licence and I own a vehicle.
I was put in a day home when I was 18 months old, and I left the day home with my siblings at the end of junior high, meanwhile continuing to babysit them regularly. I believe this experience benefitted me, because at an early age I started talking on a motherly role and communicating with children very efficiently. I pride myself on the way I interact with children, often going out of my way to make them feel like equals instead of 'little kids'. I find this benefits our relationship because children tend to be more welcoming to friends rather than an authoritative figure. That being said, I have rarley encountered any problems with children being disobedient when I ask things of them.
Another one of my strengths is my patience and my ability to handle stressful situations. I believe this is an asset when looking after children, because when any kind of conflict arises I am able to calmly asses the situation and react accordingly in a collected manner.
I also am a very interactive babysitter. I enjoy planning activities and keeping all of us busy and engaged.
I myself am looking for a full time child care position, as I am saving up for travel and university. I am comfortable looking after 1-4 children at a time, and my starting rate is generally $5 per a child as a starting rate for part time. Full time rates can be discussed.
