My name is Darrell and I’ve been in the childcare field for 5 years now. In 2014 I had to have a spine surgery which forced me to make changes to my career. As I researched the college website I resonated towards childcare and Early Childhood Education. I literally vibrated and because emotional while watching the video which lead me to believe this was the path for me. I’ve worked in the potato industries and oilfield industries being from southern Alberta but have never had such a meaningful job since I became an educator. I’m Teacher Darrell to them and start and end my day with a hug. Really what more can one ask for when describing their dream job. I’ve had parent express to me that I should not change a thing in what I’m doing because their children will never forget me, and that tells me that I’ve found my calling.
Occasional babysitting | $22.50 per hour |
I have a level 2 in Early Childhood Education, and have been in the field since 2016. I’m very genuine and the children sense this, they begin to trust and open up to me immediately. I provide age appropriate challenges and lessons which will help your children excel in my preschool program and have them properly prepared for kindergarten.
I have and would continue to work with parents or guardians regarding any challenges they face throughout the crucial and important stages of their children’s lives.
