My name is Natalie, I am 17 and I just graduated. I helped raise/babysit my nieces for about 2 or 3 years when she was a single mom and I babysat my 3 nieces ( aged 3-5) and nephew (newborn) on multiple occasions over the 2 years I lived with my sister and her husband. I have experience caring for larger groups of children (1-7 children), as I had often volunteered at the nursery (ages 0-3), teeny church (ages 3-5), and junior church (ages 5-12) at my form church. I have roughly 5 years of child care experience for that church. In the summer of 2019 I volunteered at 3 VBS’s (vacation bible school) and spent about 3 weeks total cooking for kid’s camp at Madge Lake Bible Camp and Good Spirit Bible Camp. I have also babysat for a few families who had 1-3 children on multiple accounts. I am able to cook, clean, play, read, go for walks, and change diapers if need be. I prefer to keep children away from screens as much as possible, but have no problem with using technology to play music for a dance party. I would love to do crafts and baking with the children, but that would be entirely up to them. I don’t mind getting dirty, so I could even take them to a spray park or regular park, get them to help garden if you need. Even though it is summer break, if your child needs help with some sort of schooling, I am definitely able to help as my marks in school were on average fairly high.
Occasional babysitting | $5.00 per hour |
Partial / after-school care | $12.00 per hour |
Home nanny | $15.00 per hour |
I’m not too picky with how much I get paid, for babysitting, I do $5.00/hr. For 1 child plus $2.00 for every child after. Part-time care is more like a job, so I would prefer to be paid $12.00/hr. And full-time care I would ask to be paid $15.00/hr. I am willing to negotiate prices :)
