I am a Filipino/Canadian. married. I have looked after a neighbor's five months old grandson until he was two years old in my home.
I prepared goat milk (he was allergic to cow's and powdered milk) with corn syrup, and feed him, until he was ready for baby foods; changed his diapers as needed, gave him a bath; put him to sleep; sit with him watching cartoons on TV, and video provided by his mother. When he was unable to sleep, I prefer to carry him and walk around from my living room to the kitchen until he falls asleep. There were times when his mother needs a break, I had the chance to have him sleep in my house.

As a childcarer, I treated him as my own, full of attention and love. I always told him that he was my baby that I never had.
