Monika, childcare provider in Newmarket northeast

Hi!
I'm Monika. I'm 21 years old. I currently live in Newmarket and for as long as I can remember I have loved kids which is why I always come back to working with them no matter what job I do outside of childcare. I've been babysitting since the age of 10 and babysat all kinds of children. I know how to deal with anything at this point lol I babysat for probably over 20 families and counting. I love it. I love to see the children grow up in front of my eyes and keep in touch with the families in the future. I don't see it as a job but rather fun and I really enjoy it so it doesn't seem like work. I was a nanny before and I really liked it minus the weird hours and the cleaning. I like to keep it strictly to the childcare as I feel it takes away from the kids if I have to clean the whole house. Cleaning up for the kids and tidying is not an issue. I worked in a day care where I learned so so much. I attended workshops to learn about children and their development and behavior and how to deal with it in a positive way. Ideally I want to find a full time nanny position with a family that will treat me like I'm their family, not just a worker because the kids are what I am there for and they will be spending lots of time with me. I am a happy and energetic and loving person! :) I love to go out for walks with the kids and plan activities and have fun but I also know when to put my foot down so they don't walk all over me and then their parents. I always discuss that with parents before hand. As for cleaning, I have done that before where I cleaned the whole house but I believe that should be kept to a minimum for a nanny. I had kids say to me they wanted to play and I had a bathroom to clean. I was also not paid for those services. I do not mind doing anything for the kids cleaning wise but I am not a house cleaner maid. We can talk more if needed about that. I just want to find a great job where I am happy and so are you guys. It's all about the kids really. :)
