I have been in the business of 'families' for over twenty years although my Uni training is Education as well as Chile/Youth Worker. At present I am semi-retired and am wanting to be able to work for evenings and / or overnights when parent/s are away as well as shift working parents. I am an activity-based Governess/Nanny being that I enjoy being out and about with my charges as well as attending community activities such as storytime at the library. I am not adverse to living on-site however, I would not like to be in a basement bedroom! I would happily trade off a 'Granny Suite' for child care.
Occasional babysitting | $15.50 per hour |
Partial / after-school care | $15.30 per hour |
Home nanny | $12.00 per hour |
Depending on the hours taking into consideration how far I have to drive as well as sporadic or consistent such as: evenings that have me working until midnight or after that I would need to drive myself home afterwards ... tutoring and/or attending to provide homework supervision or if I can use the bus system and provide care for a few hours on a regular basis such as three afternoons/week ... or week ends with overnights I will provide a basic fee for 24 hours of care.
