Eva, childcare provider in Banff

Dear parents,
My name is Eva, I am 19 years old and I am from Germany. I am looking for a babysitter job or as the case may be for part time employment.

I have been a babysitter for more than two years. I took care of two lovely girls at the ages 10 and 12 and I used to go there every Thursday from 6-10pm. We played board games like “The aMAZEing Labyrinth” or went to the playground. Afterwards I helped the girls with their nighttime routine and prepared supper for them. While I cleaned the kitchen afterwards they were allowed to watch their favorite TV series. After that I kept an eye on them brushing their teeth and at last I put them to bed and read out a book or turned on an audio play. I have had a very good connection to the girls and it was amazing that they were always glad about me coming to their home.

Furthermore I was a coordinator at a holiday camp which was lead by the evangelical church. We dealt with the topic “Paulus from Tarsus” but it was more about the corporate feeling and having fun on the Easter holidays. We sang songs together, did handicraft works and played table soccer.
In May of this year I also did an internship in a kinder garden with children from years 2-5 for two weeks. It was great and a very special feeling when the children had confidence in me after the first few days. In the morning we used to play board games or we played with the wide choice of toys. After lunch we used to go outside and I played the whole afternoon in the sand with the children, helped them to swing, played football with the kids, or gave them help on the jungle gym.

I would describe myself as a happy and open minded person and it’s easy for me to build a connection to children. I like the aspect that children can learn from you and I know that it is a heavy responsibility to care for them at the same time. But I think through my experience I am able to bear this responsibility and that I am good at it. I like to laugh and have fun and I would appreciate to share my happiness with your children.
