Lina, childcare in Montreal

I was an Au Pair for three and a half years. I lived with a host family and I took care of two kids aged 18 months and four years old. My duties were to organize and take part in activities, games, crafts, homework, reading and outings, to give enjoyment and exercise. I also take the kids to and from school and to doctor's appointments‚ watch over the children and arrange reports for home care. I discipline children in keeping with the methods requested by the parents. I also plan and prepare meals, and execute other housekeeping duties. I instruct children in personal hygiene and social development. I contribute to the family by giving emotional support to the children and helping them with their psycho-motor development. I attend to the personal cleanliness of every child. I was a volunteer in an adoption centre for more than one year. I helped to watch 10 babies between six and 14 months old. I cared for all daily tasks that they needed such as bathing, dressing, feeding and changing diapers. I maintained safe surroundings based on security standards. I played with them and helped them with their psycho motor development, given them my support with love and affection.
