Hello, my name is Phallon.
My many years of experience as a teacher, youth camp leader and nanny, should be of interest to you. I come from a large family with many cousins whom I have had the pleasure of tending to. Being the oldest cousin in my family, I have had much experience caring for my little cousins. In between my studies at York University, and part time work as a youth camp leader, I began caring for family friends and neighbours children in the community.
After obtaining my (BA) in Psychology and (BEd) in Education, acquired through the Concurrent Teachers Education program, I have had a great amount of experience caring for children as well as teaching youth. Currently, I work as a Nanny for a mother of four children ages 1, 3, 4 and 5. My responsibilities include care giving for the baby and children, cooking, cleaning, baby sitting, facilitating activities, educating/ tutoring/ reading after school, changing diapers, cleaning/ bathing/ feeing the baby.In between my Nanny job I'm a Teacher for the Little Readers program at Oxford Learning Centre and tutor in the evenings, leaving my daytime hours for your consideration.
I love working with children and hope to have my own someday, so I treat every child as if they were my own. When working with children, I make the most effort to get to know their interests, hobbies and needs, so that I can provide them with the best care for their development. I love to facilitate activities or crafts that are suited to the child's interests, especially those that are integrated with educational components.
My personal interests/hobbies other than my love for teaching and care giving include dancing, cooking, cleaning, baking, fitness, singing, playing music, acting, visual arts (drawing/painting), crafting and reading.
Should you have any inquiries, or would like to see a resume stipulating the details of my work experiences, feel free to ask upon our interview. I look forward to our get together.
Sincerely,
Phallon : )
