My name is Danielle and I am currently doing my Undergrad in Communication Studies at McMaster University. I grew up in Newmarket, so I am very familiar with the area. Growing up, I played house league soccer, and danced competitively. People would describe me as friendly, efficient, and goal-oriented.
I am looking for part-time/full-time care. My schedule is very flexible as I am free on weekdays and most weekends. I prefer to work during the day, which is the time I assume most parents would need me. I would also be able to provide my own method of transportation.
I believe that I am qualified to care for your children because, for starters, I have always loved children. Being the oldest of three girls, I have always taken on a maternal/leadership role for my sisters. When I turned twelve, I immediately enrolled in the "Babysitter's Course", where I learned basic babysitting skills, such as: what to do in an emergency situation, how to properly change a diaper, etc. After I became a certified babysitter, I began to babysit for children in my neighbourhood. Babysitting was always a rewarding experience and it helped me get to know the people in my neighbourhood better.
I was also a volunteer counsellor at St. Elizabeth Church three years in a row. This entailed caring for children ages 8-10. I led them through activities and supervised them for the majority of the day.
I would make a great candidate for a child-care position. I am always eager and willing to take on new roles, and to learn and grow in them.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Occasional babysitting | $11.00 per hour |
Partial / after-school care | $12.00 per hour |
Home nanny | $13.00 per hour |
I view babysitting as a regular job, so I would charge minimum wage.
Part-time care is slightly above an average job, so I would charge a dollar more.
I would charge $13/h for full-time care because I would assume that would require household responsibilities as well as caring for the children.
No recommendations yet, soon it will be your turn?
