I'm Kathy, a dedicated and passionate professional who has devoted 35 years to nurturing children and providing them with the best possible start in life. After retiring as an elementary school teacher (30 years), I found my second calling as a nanny, a role I've been blessed to fill for over five years now. I am seeking a part-time or full-time nanny position and can start immediately.
With experience with babies, toddlers, and children all the way up to ten years, I'm able to care, guide, and support children of various ages. I truly believe in learning through play and exploration, and in providing rich language experiences.
I nannied for a family in the Okanagan Jan 2020-August 2022 with 2 school age kids & 1 preschooler until their youngest started kindergarten. I nannied for a family in Kelowna Sept 2022 - July 2024, & Jan 2025 - August 2025, with a toddler & then an addition of a baby. I also nannied for another family August 2024 0 Oct 2024, caring for a preschooler. References are available on request. In our opinion, you could not have a better person caring for your children."
My educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Education, an Early Childhood diploma, CPR and First Aid Training, and Food Safe Level 1 certification. I have also successfully worked with and received training for children with autism, sight & hearing challenges, and children with various learning differences.
Outside of work, I enjoy family get togethers, making crafts, reading, trips to local parks and libraries, and just spending time with my husband.
