I'm a recent graduate of the University of Toronto Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. I am 28 years old, have worked as an early childhood educator and completed multiple practicums/placement in Ontario classrooms.
I am certified in First Aid, have a clean criminal record, and have experience working with children who have a variety of disabilities/exceptionalities (such as ADD, ADHD, ASD, giftedness, audio processing disorder).
I love children. They are brilliantly inquisitive and they deserve the best care and opportunities for success in the world. I can provide that care and those opportunities for them.
I studied at George Brown College and Ryerson University in addition to U of T, and have experience programming a play-based curriculum for children ages 0-4, as well as practicum experience in several full day kindergarten (FDK) classrooms using the FDK Framework. I have also developed and implemented lessons for students in the elementary school system during placements, and can provide support learning any grade level of the Ontario Curriculum.

I have a diploma in Early Childhood Education as well as a B.A. in Early Childhood Studies and my B.Ed in primary/junior education. While caring for one's children, I would be implementing activities pertaining to cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and communicative development. For this reason I ask for pay that is appropriate for my extensive job skills. I spent 5 years in post-secondary education to best understand child development and to become an elementary teacher. As a childcare provider, I am not only responsible for providing supervision and/or learning opportunities for children, I am to model empathy, kindness, consideration, respect, and understanding. As this is such, I ask for pay that is fair for an adult with teaching experience (working with children from infancy to age 12).
