I give children snacks, can make a simple meal, take them out for walks in their strollers or just walk with them, take them to parks to play or to the zoo or science centre, to the library and get some books to read. I have three grown adult children of my own. I have looked after my own sister when I was in high school for three summers and looked after my cousins and other children in the evenings for about 5 years occasionally in my home town. I have looked after children in Calgary as well occasionally since 2007-present. I used to look after a six year old girl after school Mon-Fri and half or whole day on Friday. I used to look after two girls sometimes during the day but most of the time in the evenings but they are now moving to Okotoks. I have references, police clearance, excellent driving record and non-smoker. I am now a live-out nanny from Monday-Friday but I'm available to babysit on Saturday or Sunday evenings. If you need me to babysit them on Saturday or Sunday evenings, let me know.

Explanation:
I think it's a responsibility looking after children and they are more of a care if they are infants if they can't talk and there's something wrong (eg. hungry, teething, wet diaper etc). It's gets easier once the child is 4 years old and older as they can tell you if they are feeling ill, hungry, and usually they're potty trained by then. I don't mind taking them out to activities once they are 3 years and older.
