Hi there! My name is Annie, I have recently moved to Toronto from Nova Scotia and am looking for some part-time babysitting work to supplement full-time work in my field (health policy and research).
I have done (and love) facilitation work with children and youth and recently was a day camp leader for girls 9-12 on issues of self esteem. For these programs, I learned and practiced a variety of different games and activities and discussions. I have also taught lessons (ranging from environmental policy to sexual health) with children and youth, and am fluent in French, so am happy to be sort of an instructor-mentor for your child(ren) as well as a caregiver! I used to babysit a lot when I was younger, mainly for older children (5+), though I have several younger cousins and a new niece who are younger, so I am happy to babysit for younger children as well.
I am quite active so would love to help your children stay active too!
I have previous experience providing for comfort and safety of people of all ages as a sea kayaking instructor, in which I also did extensive First Aid training.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Annie

Sure! I think it's reasonable to charge slightly above homeworkers minimum wage for important work.
