Harmony, babysitting - K1N Ottawa (lower town / sandy hill / university of ottawa)

Hello, my name is Harmony and I am currently a full-time student studying English and Classical Studies at the University of Ottawa. I have a great passion for reading and writing, and history is one of the subjects that absolutely enthralls me.

I love kids -- I always have -- but my love for children greatly expanded when my younger sister (nine years my junior) was born. I often get teased by my peers for being "too maternal" (as if that's something to be embarrassed of), but it is the truth. I enjoy children, both the fun parts and the not-so-fun parts.

Though I have no paid experience of childcare, I have taken care of my family's members' young kids, and I have volunteered at summer camps (with children ranging from 4 - 9) where I helped tutor them in basic maths and English, packed them their lunches, and played fun activities with them.

I enjoy the arts and would thoroughly encourage young kids to partake more in them; be it painting, drawing, sculpting, writing, or playing music. And though I am not the most active of people (I am not going to lie), I would still willingly play sports with kids and, if not, I will willingly stand at the sidelines and enthusiastically cheer them on.
