Kimberly, babysitting in Penticton

Hi, my name is Kimberly, I prefer to go by Kim or Kimmy. I am 20 years old, living on my own with my boyfriend. I just moved to the area so I am looking for opportunites anywhere I can find them. I have very good past experiance with children. I have been babysitting for family and friends for almost 7 years. These past couple years being out of school I havent done much babysitting. When I was in school I took a class called Human Services for 2 years. My last year I was able to be involved in our schools pre-school program. I got the chance to plan activities, lessons, play and interact with the children. I also got the chance to job shadow another pre-school and I helped them all around the classroom. I am mostly looking for someone just looking for a part-time babysitter, I am not looking to be a nanny. My qualities as a childcarer would be that I am friendly, patient, competent, and I have a pretty great sense of humor! My experiance with kids ranges from all different areas. Before taking Human Services I only knew what I knew. Things like changing diapers, preparing meals, playing games, comforting, supporting, bathing ect. After my classes though, I of course learned new things and had a better understanding of children and how their minds work. We were able to plan and teach them lessons and create different activites to teach those lessons. We were able to make up arts and crafts activities, and even planned field trips! I really enjoy being with kids and watching them grow!
