Alex, babysitter in Cambridge east

Over the last year and a half I have taught at a private kindergarten in Nakhon Sawan, Thailand. My teaching experience, while primarily spent with Preschool and K1, also included K2 and K3. This opportunity enabled me to learn about lesson planning, curriculum and classroom management while adding to my ability to coordinate the adult assistants who worked under my direction. My focus during this assignment was to facilitate spoken and written language acquisition in students who possessed no prior English knowledge.
During part of my time in Thailand, I also worked part time in a school that offered supplementary language practice for students ranging in age from 10 years to adult. Here I was required to determine the current language level of the students I was tutoring and then to individualize instruction to meet their needs.

I am returning to Cambridge to visit family and friends during April and May. I miss interacting with my students so I thought babysitting would be a great way to make some extra spending money and interact with kids. I love to make crafts and get active!
