Hello, my name is Laura . I'm 24 years old and am a part of a large family. I'm the third oldest in a family of 6! I have 4 sisters and one brother; my brother being the closest in age with myself. Along with my immediate family I have a large extended family as well. There are 25 grandchildren on my mother's side alone to give you an idea. So with that being said I have a lot of experience with children, taking care of the house, making meals, dealing with a bit of chaos etc. I understand that many nannys or caregivers have official certifications amongst their list of qualifications, but what I feel confident - what makes up for my lack in certifications - is in my ability to work well with people - people in general, but especially with children. I feel most at home when I am around little ones and feel I could be a great fit as a nanny. I have never done this professionally so I am quite new to how things work, so I would be very open to forming a more concrete idea or plan with you, the family, once we meet. But generally speaking I am comfortable with dropping off and/or picking up kids from school or the bus stop, babysitting in the home during the days or for events in the evening etc., being asked to help out with generally short notice (never know when you'll need it!), tidying the house while you are away etc. The list could go on and is probably quite open-ended. I'm pretty open minded to what responsibilities you may ask of me - as long as we talk about it prior and it's agreed upon than it's all great. I don't want to babble on too long because in the end I think the most important part is finding the right fit in a person - for you, your child(ren), and I - and I hope that that right fit is me! Thank you for taking the time to read all of this and hopefully we may speak soon :)
Occasional babysitting | $14.00 per hour |
Since I do not have official certifications I feel as though 14.00$ is a fair price to charge. With that being said though I am willing to negotiate prices with a family if necessary.
