New to Nelson, I am a teacher by trade and am looking for some work. I lived in Scotland and England for 6 years obtaining my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Education and Psychology. I am extremely happy to be back in Canada and to have found a new home in Nelson!
I have my first aid training and have substantial experience with 'typically' functioning and developing children as well as 'atypically' functioning children (i.e. autism, ADHD, developmental delay, etc.). I also have a vehicle, 2015 Nissan Rouge, with a clean driver's abstract.
I am in my mid-twenties and have lots of energy to keep up with many little (and big) kiddos. I enjoy outdoor activities, arts, and music.
My work experience in child-care and education includes time as a classroom teacher, a full-time nanny, and a behaviour interventionist (among others!). I am very versatile when it comes to child-care and am happy to help with anything from homework, playtime, transportation, behaviour strategies, etc.!
*P.S: I am a huge animal lover and currently volunteer at the BC SPCA. Extra soft spot for dogs!
