I'm an enthusiastic, creative, and caring 21 year old! Currently, I attend Ryerson University for Child and Youth Care, where I academically thrive. I am consistently learning about how to effectively approach the act of facilitation, based on specific developmental milestones, through participating in workshops and taking various courses. As I create and design new therapeutic approaches to working with children and families, I am able to consistently refine my approach to working with children in unique and diverse ways. In a previous course, I received an extensive education regarding the developmental milestones that occur for infants and children, and therefore, I can offer these understandings to parents and caregivers, if interested! For the past 3 summers, I have worked with school-aged children in a leadership training camp, where I facilitate activities in a strong, structured environment, promoting leadership to the best of my professional ability. Additionally, I am currently working at the Kiwanis Boys and Girls facility with children in grades 1 and 2, and a primary component of my role is to build strong and independent relationships with all the children in the environment and therapeutically assess and create structured activity plans that will help them with their own personal growth. Overall, I am confident in my ability to care for children of all ages, working with children and youth is my passion!
