I am 24-years old, and I have over 8 years of experience providing childcare to children from the ages of newborn-12 years old. I began babysitting at the age of 16 in Ottawa. I just recently moved to Toronto for a publishing career, and I am hoping to find families here in the city that are looking for an experienced, friendly and outgoing caregiver.
I am currently an editorial Intern with one of the big-5 International Book Publishers, and I am therefore available to babysit on weeknights and any time during the weekend.
I have experience providing overnight care, and I am not opposed to being called last-minute for caregiving emergencies (having to take one child to the hospital but needing caregiving for the other child is not unheard of).
As a caregiver, I enjoy going outdoors, exploring local museums and parks, baking and cooking with the kids, or making a (controlled) mess with arts and crafts. I am an avid reader and enjoy encouraging kids to read or reading together--or making up new stories together. From the age of 5-16, I was very involved in theatre and drama and I therefore love to play make-believe and I have an outgoing and friendly personality.
I can provide references from previous families to whom I have provided caregiving services.
