TO WHOMEVER IT MAY CONCEARN,
My name is Sarah . I am 20 years old, and an aspiring Early Childhood Educator. Last year I attended Louis Riel Arts & Technology Centre to start on my career path. I was actually just looking for a way to get a better income before choosing my career. Ironically I immediately fell in love working with an amazing team consisting of parents, children, and other ECE’s. I love working with children and showing them the world. As I help teach kids, they teach me in return. It is a wonderful teamwork relationship. It taught me that being part of a team is the key factor to a great work environment. And when the work environment is great, so is the customer experience. I also learned how to work with people, including parent’s who were not happy that particular day. I learned to cooperate and handle upset adults.
My family moved from Auerbach, Vogtland, Germany to Canada on February 14th 2008. I was halfway through grade 7 then. Thankfully becoming part of my class and society was not very difficult. I spent a lot of time watching children’s shows and in front of the computer learning English. In Germany English is the second language, like French is here.
I believe that moving and the people I have met throughout my new life helped me become the person I am. I am quirky, friendly, outgoing, and a little bit shy. I know when to have fun, and when work needs to get done. Over the past few years I have learned to value team work, and I learned that team work is the only way to get work done. I love children and working with them taught me a lot of things, especially how to be creative and how to problem solve. Children have trouble problem solving when they are very young, as a student of ECE and (hopefully) an ECE in the future I have to teach them how to problem solve.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION
