I am a graduate student at Brock University studying for a degree in Child and Youth Studies. My passion and desire to care for children influenced my decision to enrol in this program. I often helped my parents care for my younger siblings, both home and away. Because I am able to execute this duty beautifully, my neighbours often entrust the security of their children in my care while they go about their daily activities. I feed these children, play with them and put them to sleep while their parents are away. These experiences encouraged me to seek a job as a teacher after my senior high school education. For two years, my job as a teacher was to care for the physical and academic well being of forty children within the ages of five years and seven years. These children were left in my custody from 8am in the morning to 3pm in the afternoon. It must be noted that, despite the large numbers, I was able to give every child the best care. With my experience, I admit it is sometimes difficult caring for children, however I am able to execute my responsibilities with ease because of the driving force in me to give children the best of care.
