Présentation
Our family:
We are a family of four, including a mom, a dad, and two lovely girls aged 10 and 8 years old. We are an active family where both the mom and dad work full-time in demanding jobs. We are very honest and we have always had someone working and helping us. We also have a cat (Neige) that is adorable and very friendly (she is hypoallergenic).
What we are looking for:
We are looking for someone, who will become a crucial, and well-loved support to our household and family for years to come.
We need a part-time live-out nanny/mother’s helper Monday-Friday for about 20 hours/week.
Other than the afternoon childcare “shift” time of 15:30 pm – 17:30 am (3 hrs/day 10 hrs/week), we may be flexible with when the remaining 10-15 hours could be completed throughout the week, ideally between the hours of 8:00am-3:00pm.
The girls are very calm and independent. You should pick-up them at school (5 min from home by car) and supervise them while they do their homework and help them if needed (specially the 8 yo).
The support we need is a mix of childcare, household maintenance, cleaning, groceries/meal prep and errands. The girls are in elementary school full-time (8:00 am-3:30pm).
We need someone to focus on household maintenance, including tidying, doing laundry (wash, fold, put away), refilling supplies (e.g. hand soap dispensers, paper towel holders, etc.), watering plants, emptying garbages, sorting recycling, replacing bathroom hand towels, etc. Over time rotate between deep cleaning things like the inside of the fridge, blinds, window screens, etc.
In addition, we will need to shop for groceries and meal prep dinner about 3 x/week.
We may also need help with other odd jobs such as the organization of items in drawers, downsizing items in closets and running errands (e.g. dropping off dry cleaning).
Start date:
June 25th (negotiable).
During summer time we could be more flexible with the hours.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Our ideal candidate would include the following: Fun/playful, warm and loving, but with consistent boundaries, positive discipline and a “coaching” approach to helping the kids develop strong social and emotional skills. A knack for keeping a house organized and creating “systems” which ensure things run smoothly (e.g. organizing the pantry or mud room).
Certifications:
Criminal record check, reference check. Having your own car and driver’s license are required.
To apply:
Please submit a resume, outlining your experience, qualifications and your preference on amount of work hours (per week) and preferred timing of “shifts” (if you have a preference), and anything else that you feel would help us get to know who you are and your approach to child and housecare. Finding a great fit for us and our children is very important as we will see you as a part of our family for many years.
